Camp Oochigeas (Ooch) gives kids affected by childhood cancer what they need – the chance to just be kids.
Camp Ooch is a privately funded charity that bring laughter and joy to kids affected by childhood cancer. Year-round Community, In-Hospital and Overnight Camp programs give kids self-confidence and a sense of belonging at any stage of their cancer journey.
The world has taken a pause with the arrival of COVID-19. Sadly, childhood cancer hasn’t—the need for Camp Ooch’s programs has never been greater than they are today.
- NEW in 2020! We’re meeting the needs of kids and families during this pandemic today by delivering virtual camp programs that reach children in hospitals, or families at home—until it’s safe to be together again. Even summer 2020 virtual programs are in active development!
- Overnight Camp in Muskoka – the only overnight camp in Canada to provide IV chemotherapy and blood transfusions
- In-Hospitals across Ontario, including SickKids, where we meet kids soon after their diagnosis, bringing moments of fun and laughter
- Ooch Downtown in the heart of Toronto and in other communities across Ontario, where we bring the Magic of Ooch close to home with year-round programs
The cost to Campers is free. The cost of sending kids affected by childhood cancer to Camp is covered by the generous support of donors and fundraisers just like you.
Camp Ooch provides fun and friendship to over 1,800 kids affected by childhood cancer and their families each year during the most difficult of times.
