The Sporting Life 10K start line is located at Yonge and Glengrove Ave. This is 4 blocks south of Lawrence Ave. It is also 3 blocks north of the Sporting Life store. The Sporting Life 10K proceeds south down the iconic Yonge St to Front St. The route continues east on Front St, to the finish line at Cherry St. After crossing the finish line, the fun continues at the Post-Run Party at Corktown Common. It’s a time to celebrate what you have accomplished and the impact you have on the lives of kids with cancer or serious illness and their families.

Q: What are the elite athlete qualifying standards for the Sporting Life 10K?

To receive an elite athlete entry, our qualifying standards are: MEN Open — sub 33:00 minutes Masters (40 years+) — sub 37:00 minutes WOMEN Open — sub 37:00 minutes Masters (40 years+) — sub 40:00 minutes Please email a copy of this applicable result, achieved within the past 12 months to: sportinglife10k@sportinglife.ca and we will respond accordingly.

Q: Can I wear my headphones during the Sporting Life 10K?

Ideally not. You should enjoy the event atmosphere and environment. If you do wear them, please ensure that the volume is low enough to hear any instructions given to you by our course marshals and that you are aware of others around you.

Q: What are the wave start times?

They will be based on your assigned arrival time. This time will be emailed to you on May 4th along with your bib number. Click here for more information on wave start times.

Q: Is the Sporting Life 10K 'chip' timed?

Yes, we use the race|result timing system provided by Sportstats.

Q: Do you need volunteers? How can I sign up to volunteer?

Yes, we always need volunteers to help us make the event a success. Click here to learn more and join our volunteer team .

Q: Can anyone cross the finish line?

No, only registered participants wearing a run bib will be allowed to cross the finish line.

Q: What roads are closed, and for how long, on event day?

Due to the size of the event there will be several road closures on Sunday, May 10. Please allow additional travel time to reach your destination especially if you need to get across Yonge St. between Eglinton Ave. and Front St. and/or travel eastbound on Front St. Click here for full road closure information.

Q: Are there shuttle buses for the 2026 event?

Due to space limitations at the finish line area, we will not have shuttle buses this year.

Q: What is the route like?

The route is primarily downhill with the final 2km (approx.) being flat.
