No, you don’t have to upload your results at all. However, if you purchased an iTAB you will need to upload your results to have it sent to you.
You actually do not need an app or program to upload your results. All you need to do is upload your 10K time manually using the honour system. If you wish to use a fitness/tracking app, we recommend you download and use Runkeeper as it will automatically upload your results to our results page. It is free to download and is really easy to use.
There are lots of free tools available for smartphones to help participants measure distance. We recommend using RunKeeper as it is integrated with our results platform. Other tracking options include: Strava, Zwift, and Nike+. You can also use a GPS-equipped smartwatch, like a Garmin (or some versions of the Apple Watch) to record running distance. Or, kick it old school, and drive a route using your car’s odometer to measure it before you complete 10K!
The Sporting Life Virtual 10K does not issue official results or age group awards.

More than a thousand children were diagnosed with cancer during the pandemic. For almost 40 years, Campfire Circle offers healing through happiness for thousands of kids and families affected by childhood cancer or serious illnesses by providing programs that give kids the chance to just be kids—engaging in community, in-hospital, and overnight camp programs, at no cost to them. As a registered charity, CAMPFIRE CIRCLE (formerly Camp Ooch & Camp Trillium) receives no annual funding from government or hospital partners, relying instead on the generosity of volunteers, partners, donors, and fundraisers to fund life-changing programs for kids affected by childhood cancer and their families. This important work can only continue because of the support of fundraisers like #SL10K participants.
